About that pipeline – President Obama HAD to reject it (AUDIO)

Posted on January 19, 2012

The Keystone XL pipeline proposal was incomplete as of yesterday, when President Obama rejected the plan in order to meet the decision deadline issued to him by Congress. The route of the pipeline had not yet been finalized, and had President Obama approved the proposal, he would have left the country vulnerable to an unknown route. Because Congress rushed him into making a decision, the President had no other responsible choice but to reject the proposal. President Obama even mentioned that the company will be allowed to reapply at a later date. Yet yesterday and today we’re seeing headlines such as “Republicans Fuming Over Obama’s Pipeline Rejection.” Once again our media and elected officials would rather engage in petty bickering than in real progress for our country.
